I Thought This Would Break Me was created for the places in our stories that once felt impossible to survive—and the God who met us there.
Psalm 34 doesn't tell us that belonging to God means we won't experience heartbreak. It tells us something better:
He comes close to the brokenhearted.
The bed is unmade. One side is empty. A glass of water and a Bible sit beside it. A small cross hangs quietly on the wall.
But the photograph doesn't tell us what happened here.
That's intentional.
Because this is yours to name.
And whether you're standing on the other side of it now or still somewhere in the middle, Scripture gives us a promise that does not depend on how the story feels today:
The Lord is close.
He was there in the room.
He was there in the hurting.
He was there when you wondered if you could keep going.
And He is there now.
What you thought would break you did not get the final word.
Even there, He was close.
